1. Introduction

SnapTidy Pty Ltd (“SnapTidy”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and store your personal information when you use our website at snaptidy.com.au and our AI-powered quoting and booking service (“Service”).

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

By using our Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Policy.

2. What information we collect

Information you provide directly

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number
  • Property information: property address and any details you provide about your property
  • Photos: images of your property that you upload to receive a quote
  • Payment information: billing details collected via Stripe (we do not store your card number — see section 5)
  • Communications: any messages, feedback or complaints you send us

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, time spent on the site, actions taken, browser type, device type, IP address
  • Cookies: we use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Service and improve user experience. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • Generate AI-powered quotes based on your photos and property details
  • Process bookings and arrange service delivery with our Contractors
  • Process payments and issue receipts
  • Communicate with you about your booking, including confirmations, updates and follow-ups
  • Respond to enquiries, complaints and refund requests
  • Improve the accuracy and performance of our AI quoting system (see section 4)
  • Comply with our legal obligations
  • Send you service-related notifications (we will not send you marketing emails without your consent)

4. Use of photos for AI training

When you upload photos to SnapTidy to receive a quote, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use those photos for:

  • Generating your quote
  • Internal quality assurance and review
  • Training and improving our AI quoting models

Photos used for AI training are handled internally and are not sold or shared with third parties for their own commercial purposes. If you do not wish your photos to be used for training purposes, contact us at hello@snaptidy.com.au and we will exclude your photos from training datasets. This will not affect your ability to use the Service.

5. Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. When you enter your payment details, that information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe's privacy policy. SnapTidy does not store your full credit card number, CVV or bank account details on our servers.

We retain records of transactions (amount, date, service reference) for accounting and dispute resolution purposes.

6. Disclosure of your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Contractors: we share your name, property address and relevant service details with the Contractor assigned to perform your booking
  • Service providers: third-party tools we use to operate the Service, including Stripe (payments), cloud hosting providers and analytics tools. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and may only use your data to provide services to us
  • Legal and regulatory bodies: where required by law, court order or to protect the rights and safety of SnapTidy, our users or the public

If SnapTidy is acquired or merges with another entity, your information may be transferred to the new entity, subject to the same privacy protections described in this Policy.

7. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and meet our legal obligations:

  • Booking and account data: retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance purposes
  • Photos: retained for up to 2 years after your last booking, or until you request deletion
  • Usage and analytics data: retained in aggregated or anonymised form

You may request deletion of your data at any time (see section 9).

8. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and secure third-party infrastructure.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we do our best to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or out-of-date information
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal retention obligations
  • Opt out of your photos being used for AI training purposes
  • Make a complaint about how we have handled your information

10. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at hello@snaptidy.com.au so we can attempt to resolve the issue.

11. Cookies

We use cookies to operate the Service, remember your preferences and analyse usage. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect the functionality of the Service.

We do not use cookies to serve third-party advertising.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their privacy policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy on our website with the revised date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
