Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SnapTidy website at snaptidy.com.au and our AI-powered quoting and booking service (“Service”). By using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

SnapTidy is operated by SnapTidy Pty Ltd (ABN 94 798 346 939), based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

2. What SnapTidy does

SnapTidy is an online platform that provides AI-generated instant quotes for lawn care and outdoor maintenance services. We connect customers with independent service providers (“Contractors”) who perform the work.

SnapTidy is not a lawn care or gardening company. We operate as a technology platform and service marketplace. The actual lawn care and maintenance work is carried out by independent Contractors, not by SnapTidy employees.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using SnapTidy, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. How the Service works

Quoting

When you submit a quote request, you upload photos of your property and provide your address and service requirements. Our AI system analyses these inputs to generate an estimated price. Quotes are estimates only and may be subject to adjustment based on actual site conditions. SnapTidy does not guarantee that the final price will match the initial AI-generated quote.

Factors that may cause the final price to differ from the quote include but are not limited to: inaccurate or incomplete photos, hidden obstacles or hazards not visible in photos, significant changes in lawn condition between the quote and the service date, and access difficulties not apparent from the information provided.

Booking and payment

Once you accept a quote and proceed to book, you agree to pay the quoted amount (or any adjusted amount communicated to you before the service is performed). Payments are processed securely through Stripe. SnapTidy does not store your credit card details.

Service delivery

All services are performed by independent Contractors. SnapTidy takes reasonable steps to engage reliable Contractors but does not guarantee the quality, timeliness or outcome of any work performed. If you are unsatisfied with the service provided, please contact us and we will work with you to resolve the issue.

5. Your responsibilities

When using SnapTidy, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information, including truthful photos that fairly represent the current condition of your property
  • Ensure safe access to the property on the scheduled service date, including securing pets and removing hazards where possible
  • Be available or contactable on the day of service in case the Contractor needs to reach you
  • Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, copy or misuse any part of our platform, including our AI quoting system
  • Not submit photos that have been digitally altered, AI-generated, AI-edited, filtered, or otherwise manipulated in a way that misrepresents the actual condition, size or layout of your property

Deliberate misrepresentation

If SnapTidy or a Contractor reasonably determines that photos submitted with a quote request were intentionally manipulated, digitally altered or AI-edited to misrepresent the property — including but not limited to editing out overgrowth, debris or damage, digitally reducing the apparent size of the area, or substituting photos of a different property — SnapTidy may, at its sole discretion:

  • Cancel the booking immediately without refund of the deposit
  • Charge a $40 site attendance fee if a Contractor has already been dispatched
  • Suspend or permanently ban you from using the Service
  • Refuse to accept future bookings from you or from the same property address

This clause exists to protect our Contractors and ensure fair pricing for all customers. Honest photos — even of a messy yard — will always get you a fair quote. Manipulated photos waste everyone's time and may result in a higher final cost than if accurate photos had been submitted.

6. Quotes and pricing

All prices displayed on SnapTidy are in Australian dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise.

Quotes generated by our AI are estimates based on the information you provide. They are not binding offers until you confirm a booking and we confirm acceptance. SnapTidy reserves the right to adjust a quote if the actual site conditions differ materially from what was represented in the photos and information submitted.

On-site price adjustments

If a Contractor attends your property and determines that the photos submitted do not accurately or fully represent the area to be serviced — including but not limited to underrepresentation of the total area, concealed obstacles, or conditions materially worse than depicted — the Contractor may:

  • Propose a revised price before commencing work, which you may accept or decline; or
  • Decline to proceed with the service.

If you decline the revised price and the Contractor is unable to perform the service as originally quoted, a $40 site attendance fee will be charged to cover the Contractor's time and travel costs. This fee will be deducted from your payment method on file.

To avoid on-site adjustments, please ensure that all photos submitted with your quote request accurately represent the full area requiring service, including any sections that may not be immediately visible from a single angle.

7. Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel a booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled service time. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the service may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted price.

If a Contractor is unable to attend on the scheduled date, we will offer you a rescheduled date or a full refund.

Refund requests for completed services will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. If you believe the service was not performed to a reasonable standard, contact us within 48 hours of service completion with details and supporting photos. We will investigate and, where appropriate, offer a partial or full refund or arrange for the work to be redone.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law:

SnapTidy provides the platform and AI quoting technology on an “as is” basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that AI-generated quotes will be perfectly accurate.

SnapTidy is not liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from the performance of services by Contractors, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury or consequential loss. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer guarantees or rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

9. Intellectual property

All content on the SnapTidy website, including text, graphics, logos, software, AI models and technology, is the property of SnapTidy or its licensors and is protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from any part of our platform without our written permission.

Photos you upload remain your property. By uploading photos, you grant SnapTidy a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use those photos for the purpose of generating your quote, improving our service quality and for internal training and quality assurance purposes.

10. Independent Contractors

Contractors who perform services booked through SnapTidy are independent third parties, not employees or agents of SnapTidy. SnapTidy is not responsible for the acts or omissions of Contractors except to the extent required by law.

11. Disputes

If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first at hello@snaptidy.com.au. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue promptly.

If we are unable to resolve the dispute, either party may refer the matter to mediation or the relevant consumer protection body in Victoria, Australia.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any legal proceedings must be brought in the courts of Victoria.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on our website with the revised date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
